Arlo Hannigan Concert, Bluebelly opens 7/11

Homer blues trio, Bluebelly opens for Nome and Nashville-based Arlo Hannigan with Jackie Rae Daniels and Lance “Sunny Jim” Highers

Homer blues singer/songwriter and instrumentalist, Michael Walsh opens the first set with original, delta-style blues on resonator. Influenced by Fred Mcdowell, David Bromberg and others, Walsh is joined by Morgan Gray on Harmonica and Asia Freeman on washboard.

Arlo Hannigan, an award-winning, prolific singer-songwriter from Nome, whose original style has been described as northwest/southwest dream folk, reminiscent of Townes Van Zandt and Nick Drake, will perform with Nashville musicians Jackie Rae Daniels, fiddle, and Lance “Sunny Jim” Highers on harmonica. Sunny Jim is a third-generation Grand Ol Opry player from Nashville. Hannigan’s last album, Death By Day Dream, is supported by members of My Morning Jacket, Calexico, and Neko Case.
