Bunnell recieves $35,000 gift
How deeply does Bunnell impact Alaska’s vibrancy? The stewardship of an anonymous donor provides essential support for Bunnell’s mission this year with a targeted gift underwriting our exhibition program and more. This $35,000 gift also funds artist in residence coordination and the documentation and technical services supporting these programs. New leadership at Paul G. Allen Family Foundation resulted in a loss of underwriting for Bunnell’s exhibition program. Since 2005, the Seattle-based Foundation supported Bunnell’s innovation and raised it to national stature, naming Bunnell a “Bright Spot” in arts leadership after the great recession. As Bunnell strives to expand arts opportunities in Alaska, we can only hope Alaskans step forward with leadership support in years to come. If you are deeply interested in Bunnell’s sustainability, I invite you to reach out anytime — Asia Freeman, Executive/Artistic Director
