Ciissiar Quentin Simeon curates Spill Your Ink, a storytelling event exploring tattoo and Yup’ik storytelling culture on Saturday, October 28th at 7:30pm at Bunnell Street Arts Center.
Emcee Quentin Simeon will share some inked skin and a profound story connecting honeybees and paradoxes. Featured guests are Yup’ik artist Amber Webb sharing stories about belonging and culture, and Jennifer Quluqarmiu with a tattoo story about connections between plants and spiritual growth. Music produced by Jonah “Jaywail” Parker.
There will be opportunities to share your tattoo story if time permits. If you are willing to share, please have a digital image ready to share at the event. Stories should be under five minutes. Come join our inked community and experience insightful stories welling from images on our bodies.
