BUNNELL ARTS BY AIR: ON-AIR BROADCAST and CONCERT: Parlor in the Round

For December’s Bunnell Arts by Air monthly concert, Bunnell presents Parlor in the Round, a live performance broadcast on KBBI AM890 Friday, December 15th, from 7pm – 9pm. Hosted by Anchorage musician Kevin Worrell, Parlor in the Round features three guest musicians who explore songs and songcraft in Alaska’s own ‘mountain-stage’ style live broadcast performance.

Come join our live studio audience! In-person audiences must be seated at 6:45 for the show to go on air at 7pm. Note that this a two-hour show.

Anchorage Musician Kevin Worrell hosts Parlor in the Round and showcases the strengths and skills of three guest musicians as he draws the crowd close in this intimate performance experience. Parlor in the Round occurs monthly around the state and is December’s Bunnell Arts by Air broadcast concert.

Borrowing from the guitar pull tradition of porches and campfires, songwriters from all walks of Alaskan life (and some beyond) trade songs and stories as they are inspired by each other. After the intermission, tradition is cast aside as the musicians dive into collaborations, jocular inventions and premeditated musings all based on written submissions from the audience. Expect to lean in close and laugh out loud.
