Carol Lambert Monotype Workshop @ Kachemak Bay Campus

Anchorage printmaker Carol Lambert exhibits at Bunnell Street Arts Center for the month of December. The exhibit opens on Friday, December 1st, from 5-7pm with an artist talk at 6pm. Lambert will also host a monotype workshop on December 2nd from noon- 4 pm at Kenai Peninsula College’s Kachemak Bay Campus.
On Saturday, December 2nd, learn the art of monotype with Lambert from noon – 4pm at Kenai Peninsula College’s Kachemak Bay Campus. Lambert will demonstrate and teach a method that involves painting with ink on a plate, then printing the image. Participants will learn to create areas of color, shape, and detail using a variety of tools. Spontaneous mark making, improvisation, and elements of surprise are all part of the fun. Participants can expect to make several prints during the 4 hour session.
For ages 16 years and older. Limited to 10 participants. Work clothes and/or aprons are recommended. Materials included.
