Homer Big Read Welcomes Michael Dirda, Feb 24th, 10-11am, Community meet and greet

Michael Dirda is a Pulitzer-Prize winning book reviewer from the Washington Post and will be joining the Homer community February 24 & 25 as part of the Homer Big Read 2017. He is the author of many books, including Browsings: A Year of Reading, Collecting, and Living with Books and Book by Book: Notes on Reading and Life.  Hailed as the “best-read man in America” by the Paris Review, Dirda will share his love of a reading life and his knowledge of Thornton Wilder with the Homer community. You are invited to a Meet & Greet with Michael Dirda at the Bunnell Street Arts Center, Friday, February 24, 10:00-11:00 am. Coffee and refreshments will be served. Please join us in welcoming Dirda to “our town.”

Other events include The Craft of Reading at Kachemak Bay Campus, Friday February 24, 6:00-8:00 pm. Please sign up in advance at The Homer Public Library. His keynote presentation will Saturday, February 25, 6:00 pm in the Fireside Reading Room at the Library. All events are free and open to the public.
