Emphasizing problem-solving skills, technique, and play, the workshop will cover functional design and woodworking basics, including grain direction, tool safety, reductive shaping, and food safe finishes .Segal’s residency  objective is to collaborate with local scientific researchers to gather site-specific data, which will inform a sculptural investigation.
